How credits, annual billing, publishing, and usage limits work.
What are Castaly Credits?
Castaly Credits are the usage units for AI work, Builds, and advanced capabilities. They are not tied to a fixed number of messages or builds. The amount of Credits used depends on the complexity of your task and the capabilities involved.
How do Castaly Credits work?
Credits are consumed by AI tasks, Build planning and execution, web research, xhigh reasoning, and over-quota platform usage such as storage, DB compute, and published requests. Viewing projects, reading Specs, and basic account management do not consume Credits.
What does Free include?
The Free plan lets you experience the Castaly workflow. You can create Specs, explore Builds, and test Previews using the included monthly Credits. Publishing live projects is available starting with Pro.
What happens if I run out of Credits?
Paid AI work, new Builds, and over-quota usage will pause until you add Credits, upgrade your plan, or your monthly Credits renew. Your projects and Specs remain available and are not deleted when your Credits run out.
How do monthly and extra Credits work?
Monthly Credits are included with your plan, reset every billing cycle, and do not roll over. They are used first. Extra Credits purchased separately never expire and are only used after your monthly Credits have been exhausted.
Will I be charged automatically if I go over my included usage?
No. Castaly will never automatically charge your payment method for over-quota usage. It only uses your available Credits. If you don't have enough Credits, paid actions simply pause until you add Credits, upgrade your plan, or your monthly Credits renew.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. You can manage your subscription anytime from Account Settings → Plans & Credits. Before you confirm any change, the billing portal will show the details of your plan change, renewal, or cancellation.
What does unlimited projects and publishing mean?
Pro and Ultra do not impose a fixed limit on the number of projects you can create or publish. However, Credits, storage, DB compute, published requests, fair use policies, and abuse protections still apply.
