The prompt behind this clip:

"One continuous take, no cuts. An empty indoor swimming pool at night, tiled walls and underwater lights. A swimmer in a chrome-finish suit stands on the edge and lifts both arms; the water answers by leaving the pool, rising as a single rotating column of turquoise that twists up past the roof beams and holds there, the emptied tiles glowing underneath. The camera starts low at the pool edge, cranes up alongside the column and tilts to look down into the drained basin. One hard cyan key from the underwater lights, warm sodium spill from the high windows. Real weight and inertia, spray and refraction, no text."

Inputs

Seedance 2.0 accepts a first frame, a last frame, or a set of reference images, videos and audio clips, but not frames and references in the same request. An audio clip cannot be the only reference: pair it with an image or a video.

Editing and extending an existing video in the Studio are on Seedance 2.5, not on this model.

How it is billed

Seedance 2.0 bills by tokens, not seconds. The token count comes from the canvas and the length of the clip, and nothing in the prompt changes it. A reference video adds its own length to the count, at a lower input-video rate. Failed tasks are refunded in full.

The Seedance comparison has dated examples of what a clip costs at each resolution.

Seedance 2.0 or another model?

  • Seedance 2.5 for clips longer than 15 seconds, more references, or editing and extending video.
  • Kling 3.0 for 4K with per-second billing.
  • Wan 3.0 if you want to start from a file or a web page.
