AI Video Pricing Compared: What 5 Seconds Costs on Every Castaly Model

One table for every video model in Castaly: per-second and token prices at 480p, 720p and 1080p, plus how length, audio and reference videos change the bill.

A woman with windswept auburn hair drives along a coastal road at golden hour, pine trees and the sea outside the window, a frame from a Wan 3.0 Prime clip.

A 5-second 720p clip costs $0.19 on the cheapest video model in Castaly and $1.44 on the most expensive one. That spread is wider than most quality differences between neighbouring models, so the price list is worth reading before you settle on a favourite.

This guide puts every video model in the Studio on one table, explains the two ways they bill, and shows which settings move the price.

Every model, one 5-second clip

A 5-second clip at 16:9 with Generate audio off, sorted by the 720p price:

Model Billing 480p 720p 1080p Higher tiers
seedance-2.0-mini Tokens $0.09 $0.19 — —
kling-2.5-turbo Per second — $0.19 $0.32 —
kling-2.6 Per second — $0.19 $0.32 —
seedance-2.0-fast Tokens $0.17 $0.37 — —
wan2.7-t2v · i2v · r2v Per second — $0.37 $0.56 —
kling-3.0 Per second — $0.38 $0.51 4K $1.91
kling-3.0-omni Per second — $0.38 $0.51 4K $1.91
kling-o1 Per second — $0.38 $0.51 —
wan3.0-video Per second $0.25 $0.49 $0.99 —
happyhorse-1.1-t2v · i2v · r2v Per second — $0.50 $0.64 —
kling-3.0-turbo Per second — $0.51 $0.64 —
wan3.0-video-prime Per second $0.38 $0.77 $1.55 —
seedance-2.0 Tokens $0.44 $0.94 $2.33 4K $4.84
seedance-2.5 Tokens $0.67 $1.44 $3.54 —

MiniMax-H3 renders at 768p and 2K instead of the usual tiers: $0.47 for 5 seconds at 768p and $0.76 at 2K.

Two things stand out. Kling 3.0 Turbo is not the cheap Kling: at 720p it costs a third more per second than Kling 3.0. And the three cheapest models at 720p sit at very different ages: Seedance 2.0 Mini is a current low-cost tier, while Kling 2.5 Turbo and Kling 2.6 are older generations that stay on the shelf at their lower rates.

Two ways a video is billed

Per second

Most models charge a flat rate for every second of output at the chosen resolution. Ten seconds cost twice as much as five, and the aspect ratio changes nothing.

Model 480p 720p 1080p Other
kling-2.5-turbo, kling-2.6 — $0.03822 $0.0637
kling-3.0, kling-3.0-omni — $0.07644 $0.10192 4K $0.3822
kling-o1 — $0.07644 $0.10192
kling-3.0-turbo — $0.10192 $0.1274
MiniMax-H3 — — — 768p $0.0936 · 2K $0.1521
wan3.0-video $0.0494 $0.0988 $0.1976
wan3.0-video-prime $0.07514 $0.1547 $0.3094
wan2.7-t2v, i2v, r2v — $0.0741 $0.11115
happyhorse-1.1-t2v, i2v, r2v — $0.1001 $0.1287

Prices are per second of video.

wan3.0-video-prime · 5 s · 1080p · 16:9 — estimated at 5 × $0.3094, about $1.55 at today's price.

Tokens

The four Seedance models bill by tokens: a count of the output video's pixels across all of its frames, multiplied by a rate per million tokens. Here the canvas and the length decide the count, and the Studio labels the model Billed by tokens instead of showing a per-second price.

Model 480p 720p 1080p 4K
seedance-2.0-mini $1.7086 $1.7086 — —
seedance-2.0-fast $3.4357 $3.4357 — —
seedance-2.0 $8.645 $8.645 $9.5095 $4.94
seedance-2.5 $13.2145 $13.2145 $14.4495 —

Prices are per million tokens. A 5-second 720p clip at 16:9 is 108,900 tokens on every Seedance model, so the rate alone decides which one is cheaper. The Seedance comparison has the full token rules.

What changes the price

Length

Every model scales almost exactly with duration. A 10-second clip costs twice the 5-second figure on per-second models, and very nearly twice on Seedance, because a Seedance clip counts one extra frame regardless of its length.

Some models only offer fixed lengths. Kling 2.5 Turbo and Kling 2.6 render 5 or 10 seconds, and Kling 2.5 Turbo bills at least 5 seconds.

Resolution

Moving from 720p to 1080p adds between 25% and 150% depending on the model:

Model 720p → 1080p
kling-3.0-turbo +25%
happyhorse-1.1 +29%
kling-3.0, kling-3.0-omni, kling-o1 +33%
wan2.7 +50%
kling-2.5-turbo, kling-2.6 +67%
wan3.0-video, wan3.0-video-prime +100%
seedance-2.0 +148%
seedance-2.5 +146%

Seedance's jump is steep because 1080p has 2.25 times the pixels of 720p and a higher token rate as well.

Audio

Generate audio is free on some models and not on others:

Model 720p, audio off 720p, audio on 1080p, audio off 1080p, audio on
kling-3.0 $0.07644 $0.11466 $0.10192 $0.15288
kling-3.0-omni $0.07644 $0.10192 $0.10192 $0.1274
kling-2.6 $0.03822 — $0.0637 $0.1274

Prices are per second. At 4K, Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni charge the same rate with or without audio. Kling 2.6 publishes an audio rate only for 1080p, and a specified voice raises it to $0.15288 a second. Seedance, Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime and Kling O1 add nothing for audio. Wan 2.7, HappyHorse 1.1, MiniMax H3, Kling 3.0 Turbo and Kling 2.5 Turbo have no audio switch in the Studio.

Reference videos

Kling 3.0 Omni and Kling O1 bill a higher per-second rate when the request includes a reference video: $0.11466 a second at 720p and $0.15288 at 1080p. Seedance counts a reference video's own length into the token total. Reference images, first frames and last frames add nothing on either.

Which model for which budget

Drafting a prompt. Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is $0.09 a clip, and Seedance 2.0 Fast at 480p is $0.17. Both use the same request format and canvases as Seedance 2.5, so a draft is a cheap check of wording, framing and timing. The final model renders the prompt its own way, so treat a draft as a test of the idea, not a preview.

kling-2.5-turbo · 5 s · 1080p · 16:9 — estimated at 5 × $0.0637, about $0.32.

A cheap 1080p clip. Kling 2.5 Turbo and Kling 2.6 render 1080p for $0.32 per 5 seconds, less than a quarter of the 720p price of Seedance 2.5.

4K. Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni render 4K at $0.3822 a second, $1.91 for 5 seconds. Seedance 2.0 renders 4K at $4.84 for 5 seconds.

Long single takes. Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime and Seedance 2.5 go up to 30 seconds. At 720p a 30-second Wan 3.0 clip is 30 × $0.0988 = $2.96.

Sound in one pass. Seedance and Wan 3.0 generate audio without changing the price. On Kling 3.0, turning it on adds 50%.

Estimates and final charges

The Studio reserves the Estimated cost from your balance when a task starts and settles the final charge when the clip is ready. Per-second models settle on the length the provider reports for the finished clip, and Seedance settles on the tokens it reports. Whatever the hold covered and the clip did not use goes back to your balance, and a failed task is refunded in full.

FAQ

Which AI video model on Castaly is cheapest?

At 720p, Seedance 2.0 Mini, Kling 2.5 Turbo and Kling 2.6 all cost about $0.19 for 5 seconds. At 480p, Seedance 2.0 Mini is cheaper still at $0.09.

Does a vertical 9:16 video cost more than 16:9?

No. Per-second models charge the same for every ratio, and Seedance's 9:16 canvas has exactly as many pixels as its 16:9 canvas.

Is Kling 3.0 Turbo cheaper than Kling 3.0?

No. Kling 3.0 Turbo costs $0.10192 a second at 720p against $0.07644 for Kling 3.0.

Why is there no per-second price for Seedance?

Seedance bills by tokens, which depend on the canvas and the length together. The Studio shows Billed by tokens and the tables above give the price for common settings.

Are these the same prices as the API?

Yes. Castaly runs on your Modelflare account, and an API call to the same model ID is billed at the same public price.
